That's right, harsh words from the former Strikeforce champion about the female MMA fighter everyone is talking about, Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey.
Millions of MMA fans have been hoping to see these two women to engage in battle, but weight disputes have hindered the possible match. Ronda weighs in at about 61kg while Cyborg outweighs her at about 65.5kg. Neither of the two seem to want to budge too much from their current weight to level the playing field.
Cyborg had the following to say:
"I am not afraid of Rhonda! I will fight her anywhere and anytime for free - everyone knows I barely make 145- but I am willing to sacrifice and meet her half way at 140- I can't believe dana says I want nothing to do with Rhonda- what he wants me to do is fight Rhonda with both my hands tied behind my back or comatosed-so that she can have a chance-which is what making me fight at 135 is- to finally shut everyone up - i will fight Rhonda with one hand tied behind my Back at 140lb and still kick her ass and prove that I'm the real champ not her- and let the winner take ALL come on rhonda step up bitch!"
We assume the bit about fighting with one hand tied behind her back is an exaggeration, but her point is made loud and clear.
This outspokenness from Cyborg is likely due to criticism recently from Dana White who claimed that Cyborg is in reality afraid of a fight with Rousey. White insists that there will be only one division (bantamweight) in the UFC, and all of this protest from Cyborg is a clear indication that she simply does not want to actually battle with Rousey.
Rousey is equally as stubborn, and she has stated that she refused to move up in weight for the sake of a bout with Cyborg.
Of course, all of this controversy will be for nothing if Rousey loses her Feb 23rd UFC debut fight against Liz Carmouche. But let's be realistic...she won't!
Now to answer the real question that has been on everyone's mind, "What does Tito Ortiz think about all this?":
