Once the largest and most notorious MMA fighting organisation in the world, Pride FC held over 60 events between the years of 1997 and 2007 in Japan. Some of the most famous fights in the history of mixed martial arts took place during Pride events, and many notable UFC fighters originally got their start there. Although the Pride organisation as it was is now defunct, maybe of the same people went on to form the Dream organisation, the sister company of K-1, which currently holds MMA events in Japan.
